Gender: How is it determined?

1 comment:

  1. Elementary my dear Watson.

A female develops X chromosomal eggs which are costly and thereby instinctively protected by her. A male produces a large amount sperm which decode for either a Y or X chromosome. Since sperm are produces at a rapid pace there are some defects, which are destroyed by the females defense mechanism (micro-evolution and speciation)... Then a complex mechanism called meiosis(check it out if you wish) where these chromosomes are spliced together in a nearly predictable mechanism... This cell now has the ability to go through complex development.

We know this hypothesis seems correct because we can induce an environment where sperm glows if it has an X chromosone. Then glowing is separated from the unglowing and invitro fertilized (or the regular kind). This process gives about 80% positive results, however its rather new and still has some known error in the seperation process.

    Thanks
